もう「さすが」としか言いようがない。

イーロン・マスクが、
SpaceXを2026年にもIPOする可能性がある
という報道について、「正確だ」と認めたというニュース。

評価額は、1兆ドル規模。
史上最大級のIPOになるかもしれない、という話だ。

数字だけ見れば、
「とんでもない」「バブルじゃないのか」
そう言いたくなる人もいるだろう。

でも、自分はわりと素直に思った。

ああ、そのお金は、きっと次の“とんでもない未来”に使われるなと。

イーロン・マスクという人は、
金を「貯める人」ではない。
金を「回す人」だ。

しかも、
・安全なところ
・無難なところ
・わかりやすく儲かるところ

には、ほとんど使わない。

使うのはいつも、
「正気か？」
「まだ早すぎないか？」
「失敗したら終わりだろ」
と言われる場所だ。

ロケット再利用。
スターリンク。
火星移住。
宇宙にデータセンター。
ローカルAIを持つ衛星群。

どれも最初は、
「夢物語」
「絵に描いた餅」
と言われてきた。

それを、
実際に“動かしてしまう”のが、この人だ。

だから今回のIPOの話も、
「株を売って儲けたい」
というより、

次の10年、20年を一気に進めるための燃料補給

そう見えた。

個人投資家が儲かるかどうかは、正直わからない。
リスクも大きいだろう。

でも、
「この資金が、どんな未来に変換されるか」
という一点においては、
かなり信頼している。

少なくとも、
ブランド買収や、無意味な多角化や、
短期的な株価対策には使われない。

もしこの資金で、

・宇宙に分散型AIインフラができ
・通信コストが極限まで下がり
・人類の活動領域が一段階広がるなら

それは、
一部の投資家の利益以上の価値がある。

ファンだから、
あえて少量でも書いておきたかった。

この人のもとに集まる金は、
たぶんまた、
「ちょっと理解が追いつかない未来」へ使われる。

そう思える経営者は、
今の時代、そう多くない。

だからやっぱり、
もう一度言ってしまう。

さすがだな、と。

All You Can Say Is “Impressive.” SpaceX and the 2026 IPO

Honestly, all you can say is: impressive.

Elon Musk has effectively confirmed reports that SpaceX may go public as early as 2026.

The valuation being discussed is on the order of one trillion dollars.
It could become one of the largest IPOs in history.

Looking only at the numbers, some people will say,
“That’s insane,” or “This has to be a bubble.”

But my reaction was surprisingly simple.

Ah—this money will probably be used for the next unbelievable future.

Elon Musk is not someone who hoards capital.
He’s someone who puts it back into motion.

And almost never into places that are
safe,
conventional,
or easily profitable.

He puts money into places where people say:
“Are you serious?”
“Isn’t it too early?”
“If this fails, it’s over.”

Reusable rockets.
Starlink.
Mars colonization.
Data centers in space.
Satellite constellations with local AI.

Every one of these ideas was once dismissed as fantasy.
A nice concept.
A drawing on paper.

And yet, he’s the one who actually makes them move.

That’s why this IPO doesn’t feel like
“selling shares to cash out.”

It feels more like fuel—
fuel to compress the next ten or twenty years into one leap.

Will individual investors make money?
Honestly, no one knows.
The risk will be enormous.

But if the question is
what kind of future this capital will be converted into,
I trust the direction.

At the very least, it won’t be spent on
brand collecting,
meaningless diversification,
or short-term stock price optics.

If this funding leads to
distributed AI infrastructure in space,
dramatically lower communication costs,
and a real expansion of humanity’s operating range—

then that value goes far beyond investor returns.

I’m a fan, so I wanted to write about it, even briefly.

Money that gathers around this person
will likely be used, once again,
to build a future that feels just slightly ahead of our understanding.

There aren’t many executives like that anymore.

So yes—
I’ll say it one more time.

Impressive.
